Totton and Eling Arts festival launched its first Community Piano in 2015. The piano was kindly donated to our community event and lovingly decorated by the pupils at Hazelwood Infant School. The piano racked up some miles as it was wheeled from business to business around Totton. A sign was placed on the piano inviting you all to come along and play and you did!

The concept of a street piano is very popular and interactive pianos are popping up in many areas that encourage on the Arts.  A street piano now signifies a piano left on the street for passers-by to play. These pianos are painted artistically and are fun to watch.

The 2016 Arts Festival has invited the children of Eling Infant School to decorate this year's piano, which again has been kindly donated. If you see the Totton & Eling Arts Festival piano around Totton, know that anyone can stop and play away.

For 2017 we will be inviting another local school to decorate the Community Piano as we continue the legacy. Which local school will be chosen this year? Watch this space.
